How to buy perfumes correctly? Careful, fake!
Perhaps it is not news to anyone that in our time there are many fakes of various products. Perfumes are no exception. The sale of fake perfumes brings a good income, as it is made from ingredients of cheap, but at the same time of low quality, which are sometimes very harmful to health. To avoid mistakes when buying perfume or eau de toilette, you need to pay very close attention to the choice of this product. Still, how do you tell a real perfume from a fake one?
When choosing perfume products, the first thing you need to pay attention to its packaging. The cardboard of the case should be dense, high-quality, and all the inscriptions should be clearly printed. The perfume itself should not have any sediment and be transparent. It is mandatory to have a barcode, which is usually located at the bottom of the cardboard packaging. The vagueness and lack of clarity — a clear signal of the simulation.
You should also know that all perfume products must be accompanied by stickers in Russian. In this case, the sticker can be made on both glossy and matte or transparent paper or film; the packaging must have a return container sign (two arrows in a circle).
Then carefully examine the bottle itself. It should not “hang out” in the box. The glass should be transparent, without any irregularities and air bubbles. Any signs of poor quality glass indicate that this product is a fake. The mechanism of the spray gun should be activated instantly when you click on the spray gun. The bottle must contain information about its volume.
In addition, an abstract is attached to each product. If it is not available, the certificate must contain a full description of the quality of the product. Please note that the original certificate must have a “live” stamp, not a copied one.
If you need to know exactly what quality perfume you bought, just put the purchase in the refrigerator overnight. If the contents of the bottle become cloudy, it is a fake.
In order not to buy a fake, be sure to buy perfumes in well-established stores, where there are always so-called sniffs. This can be thin strips of paper or pieces of sponge.
Always carefully read the manufacturer’s information on the packaging. It should be written not just the country, for example, France, but the inscription: “Made in France”.
I advise you not to buy products that you like the flavor of, but you doubt the quality of the product, since perfumes, made by who knows where and by whom, often do not meet hygiene standards. They may contain methyl alcohol instead of ethyl alcohol, which, if ingested, for example, on the lips, can cause severe poisoning.
Be especially careful when shopping in online stores. Prices in them may differ from prices in conventional traditional perfume supermarkets by no more than 20-25%.
When purchasing perfume, do not rush, check everything carefully and use the above tips. This is the only way you can protect yourself from forgery.
